Symbiosis Finance — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about cross-chain swaps, fees, security, and the Symbiosis Finance protocol.

Getting Started

Symbiosis Finance is a decentralized cross-chain AMM (Automated Market Maker) protocol that lets you swap tokens across 30+ blockchains in a single transaction. Under the hood, Symbiosis Finance uses a network of relayers and its own liquidity pools to route your swap through the optimal path — no bridges, no wrapped tokens, no centralized intermediaries required. You simply select the token you want to send, the token you want to receive, confirm the transaction in your wallet, and Symbiosis Finance handles everything else.
Symbiosis Finance supports 30+ blockchains including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync Era, Base, Linea, Scroll, Mantle, Fantom, Tron, and many more. The protocol continuously adds support for new networks. You can always check the full list of supported chains directly inside the Symbiosis Finance app by clicking on the chain selector when choosing your tokens.
No. Symbiosis Finance is a fully non-custodial, permissionless protocol. There is no registration, no KYC, and no account required. Simply connect your Web3 wallet — such as MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, or Rabby — and you can start swapping immediately. Your wallet is your identity on Symbiosis Finance.

Swaps & Fees

Symbiosis Finance uses an intelligent routing engine that aggregates liquidity from multiple DEXs on every supported chain simultaneously. Before executing your swap, the protocol computes all possible routes — including multi-hop paths — and presents you with the one that gives the highest output amount. This means you automatically get the best available rate without needing to manually compare platforms.
Symbiosis Finance charges a small protocol fee (typically 0.1%–0.3% depending on the swap route). In addition to the protocol fee, you will pay network gas fees on the source chain to initiate the swap. Symbiosis Finance displays all fees transparently before you confirm a transaction — there are no hidden costs. The exact amounts are shown in the swap details panel inside the app.
Most cross-chain swaps on Symbiosis Finance complete in 1 to 5 minutes. Same-chain swaps are much faster and usually finalize within seconds. The total time depends on the block times of the source and destination chains as well as current network congestion. You can monitor your transaction in real time using the Symbiosis Finance Explorer.
Yes. Symbiosis Finance has a built-in "Receive to another wallet" feature. After selecting your tokens, simply enable this toggle and enter any destination wallet address. This is useful for sending swapped tokens directly to a hardware wallet, a different account, or a friend's address — all in one step.
If a cross-chain swap cannot be completed for any reason (e.g., slippage exceeded, liquidity unavailable), Symbiosis Finance automatically reverts the transaction and returns your funds to your originating wallet. You may still incur a small gas fee for the on-chain transaction that was initiated. Symbiosis Finance's revert mechanism ensures you never lose your principal in a failed swap.

Security & Token

Security is a top priority for Symbiosis Finance. The protocol's smart contracts have been audited by multiple independent security firms. Symbiosis Finance is fully non-custodial — your funds are never held by the protocol. Smart contracts execute the swap logic on-chain in a trustless manner. You can find audit reports linked in the official Symbiosis Finance documentation.
SIS is the native governance and utility token of the Symbiosis Finance protocol. SIS token holders can: participate in on-chain governance to shape the protocol's direction, stake SIS to earn staking rewards, and receive potential fee discounts on Symbiosis Finance swaps. SIS is available on multiple chains and can be traded directly through the Symbiosis Finance app.
Symbiosis Finance allows users to deposit assets into cross-chain liquidity pools and earn a share of trading fees generated by the protocol. Some pools also offer additional SIS token incentives. To get started, navigate to the "Pools" section in the Symbiosis Finance app, choose a pool that suits your risk appetite, and deposit your assets. Your LP position can be monitored and withdrawn at any time.
All Symbiosis Finance transactions can be tracked on the official Symbiosis Finance Explorer. Simply enter your wallet address or transaction hash to see the full history, status, and details of every swap. The explorer covers all chains supported by Symbiosis Finance in one unified interface.
